How to Access Remote Learning
At Macaulay Academy we are committed to ensuring that our children are always receiving access to high quality education, whether that be inside school or at home. We have refined procedures and policies to ensure that, in the event of a bubble closure, children still have access to lessons that will allow every child to still have the opportunity to make good progress.
In the event of a bubble closure, our children will be expected to participate in 3 sessions every day from home (varying on their age or educational needs). These sessions will involve Zoom, SeeSaw, Sway or Tapestry (if in foundation stage).
SeeSaw is used by children to view work set by the class teacher, send in their own work (either as a photograph or work they have edited online) and to send messages to their class teacher. Every child has their own SeeSaw account. Their login can be found on the inside cover of their reading record. Once logged in, children will be able to access the Zoom link via their inbox. Zoom links will be available 5 minutes prior to any session starting.
Sway will be used in the afternoon. Children can work through this independently, at their own pace. Teachers will post links to Sways on SeeSaw. Sway is very much like a website. It will allow children to look at images, play videos and listen to audio files recorded by their class teacher.
